We couldn't get much snow in Colorado this year, so to Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming I went. Honestly, I was worried there wasn't going to be any snow when we got there, but were lucky enough to get a foot and a half if not more after the first night. Fresh powder and open trails welcomed the group, and gave us such a memorable trip.
Yellowstone in the wintertime was incredible - the harsh extremes all in one location made for some picturesque riding. The bison stoically grazing what they could, the sapphire hot springs contrasting with the brown dirt and white snow, and the landscapes of the caldera were all terribly captivating.
Quite the trip; 5 days of non-stop riding added up. But nothing beat hopping off the sled, and into a hot tub after a long day - it is sorely missed.
